In November 2025, we celebrate 10 years of Austral — a milestone that has made us reflect fondly on our journey. A decade filled with creations, inspirations, events, and collaborations that have pushed us to grow and rethink where we are and where we want to go. Through all the highs and lows that a brand faces — including a global pandemic and a time of recalibrating our course — we’ve reached our 10th year with new projects already in motion, especially our new collection that celebrates this journey: Apu Inti.

To talk about the Apu Inti collection, we need to go back to 2022, when we carried out our last collaboration with designer Renata Buzzo for the presentation of her collection and fashion film Latina at São Paulo Fashion Week. In this partnership, we developed a pair of hoop earrings and a choker inspired by the theme proposed by the designer — a concept that clearly resonates with our own ethos. We drew inspiration from our experiences and roots in this vast continent — from Christian religious elements, which have a strong influence on Latin cultures, such as ex-votos and the rich iconography related to the Holy Spirit, to the quipu, used by the Incas as a form of communication and accounting.
This led us to creations that brought us together once again—pieces that, despite their simple forms, carry deep meaning. Their lines evoke the Sun—so present, both physically and symbolically, in the flags of many Latin American countries and in the May Revolutions, where it was adopted as a symbol of independence. The name Apu Inti, which represents this Sun, was also the name given to the Incan sun god, the sovereign who reigned over humankind.
We were so pleased with the result of those two pieces that we decided to develop an entire collection of our own to celebrate our brand’s 10-year anniversary. Keeping the same references and the aesthetic we had achieved, we created a new line — now with multiple designs — to speak about our continent, our Latin identity, the Andean spirit, our symbols, our fluidity, our ethnic and cultural diversity, and how we live and experience South America in the present day.
During our recent pause, we dedicated ourselves to developing new designs, focusing on earrings and necklaces — pieces that create a striking visual composition and immediately evoke Latin identity. It was during this process that we decided to introduce 925 sterling silver as our primary material — a long-held aspiration of Austral that is finally coming to life in this special collection celebrating our 10-year journey. The pieces are handcrafted using traditional bench goldsmithing techniques, from alloy casting to the matte finishing of their surfaces. These are sterling silver jewels, available in both raw silver and 18k gold-plated finishes.

A special collection like this deserved a campaign to match — with visual strength and meaning worthy of a decade-long journey. We returned to Northern Argentina and the southern edge of the Atacama Desert, ten years after our first trip in 2015 and the Andina and Constellations campaigns. This time, we photographed the same campaign in three distinct locations, all above 4,000 meters in altitude: El Hornocal mountain in Humahuaca; the Paso San Francisco desert on the Argentine side; and the colorful valley of Paso de Agua Negra, between Chile and Argentina. The styling was designed to highlight the jewelry: black clothing, fluid fabrics, and dark makeup create a contrast that evokes the Andean Condor — one of our favorite animals, which, in a moment full of luck and symbolism, appeared on the very first day of shooting, soaring above Hornocal mountain. You can see the result in this post.
And so our 12th collection is born, celebrating what we hold most dear: our continent, our Latin spirit! Apu Inti — jewelry in 925 sterling silver — coming soon!
